Hello, my name is David James Pinkerton. Some people call me PINKIE. I have kept quiet for quite some time now. I had to take time to compose myself. Transition happens slowly. I have changed and remained still. I will write again soon...DAVID

Hello Everyone;
My name is David Pinkerton. Many people call me Pinkie, some of you know me, some of you do not know me. Thank you for visiting my website. Like many, I dabble in the arts. Some poetry, some music. I have painted a bit, but, mostly just color. Although I live in OTTAWA for now, most of my life, and, most of my heart, dwells in the forest. Living in the forest, away from manufactured culture, has given me insight into the mind of the modern person. Living with people in the city, inside the manufactured culture, has given me the venue to express comment on the ever occurring human predicament. With a few phrases I crystallize and demystify the clouds of floating fragmented concepts that many of us all share. My poetry is clear on first reading, yet, requires rereading. I work with phrases more than words. My music is both invigorating and soothing. The melody and rhythm captivates the spinning mind without slowing it down. My music is the meditation music for the mind that doesn't need to be still. The modern human, so far that I can see, doesn't need, or want, to be tethered. I do love the music I play. I hope you get as much pleasure from it as I do. I have published one small book of poetry and have created one print. The book is a collection of 25 of my poems. The print is a poem superimposed on a picture. I have published three CD's. The style of music I play is called WALLPAPER MUSIC. The album names are WHEAT BREAD, HONEY BREIZE, and ARORABORIALIS. I am working on a number of poetry, and, music projects. I will keep you posted as to when they will be available. Lately, people have been wondering when and where I might travel to. In my mind I just can jump up and go. In reality I move slow. Most of my resources are directed towards the act of living. What is left, I direct into creativity. If you would like to visit me, or, me to visit you, drop me a note, I love to travel. I love to have guests. I am always looking for a reason to jump up and go. I am always looking for a reason to be social. I am a people person. I am looking to set up a tour to showcase my work. I may be able to come to your area. I could set up some poetry readings in your area and we could spend some time together. Send me a note if you think you can set something up. Rest assured, I am happy in my life situation. I am settling down now in my new digs. I have changed, and changed again, yet I am still the very same person I have always been. Thank you for reading my poetry and listening to my music. It means a lot to me. I love to hear from people. If you send me an email I will answer it...DAVID PINKERTON
